There is a solution!

In a recent speech, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick encouraged legislators to pass a bill to create a Texas ammunition manufacturing facility.  Shortly thereafter,  Senator Pete Flores and Representative Ellen Troxclair filed Senate Bill 1851 and House Bill 3539  to do just  that!

If passed, the legislation will result in a private/public partnership to build and operate a facility that will manufacture quality, MADE IN TEXAS, ammunition!

Law enforcement is finding it increasingly difficult to find sufficient supplies of ammunition and what’s available is unaffordable. This adversely affects their ability to train and adequately respond to public safety needs, including mass shootings and border violence.

The citizens of Texas are facing a similar problem – ammunition availability is down and prices have skyrocketed! This inhibits our ability to engage in lawful shooting sports, defend ourselves in an increasingly violent country, and otherwise engage in activities protected by the 2nd Amendment.

Sadly, the inexpensive ammunition that is available is low quality and often comes from China and Russia – the two biggest threats to democracy and freedom in the world!

S.B. 1851 and House Bill 3539 will help solve this problem and we need your help to make sure this legislation becomes law!
